Lady Gaga to visit White House to discuss bullying

Lady Gaga is visiting the White House on Tuesday to speak with officials in the office of public engagement about "the important issue of bullying," a senior White House official said, CBS News reported.
The White House held an anti-bullying conference this year and has a "stop bullying" website that specifically spotlights cyberbullying and LGBT bullying, the WashingtonPost reported.
The administration estimates that bullying affects 13 million students. That's a third of those attending school.
Last month, Lady Gaga announced the launch of the Born This Way Foundation, which supports programs dedicated to empowering youth. According to the Huffington Post, she had expressed previous interest in meeting with Obama to discuss her concerns over bullying.
However, Lady Gaga won't have the opportunity to discuss the issue with President Obama, who will be speaking in Kansas this afternoon.
Lady Gaga and Obama have met before, when she attended a fundraiser for his reelection campaign in California earlier this year.
