Uganda foot soldiers on the hunt for Lord's Resistance Army leader Joseph Kony are growing disillusioned and bored after years of searching, the Associated Press reported.
Ugandan army officials say Kony is alive and hiding somewhere within the Central African Republic but many soldiers question whether they would ever know if he died, according to the AP.
"Our commanders don't want you to know the truth," one of them explained. "They want to keep us here, but up to now our squad has never come across any rebels."

President Barack Obama said Monday that the U.S. will help support Uganda and its neighbors capture and "bring this madman to justice," CNN reported.
"It's part of our regional strategy to end the scourge that is the LRA and help realize a future where no African child is stolen from their family, and no girl is raped, and no boy is turned into a child soldier," said Obama.
Kony is wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes and crimes against humanity for allegedly kidnapping children to use as soldiers and sex slaves.
He was thrown into the spotlight recently when video called "Kony 2012" by advocacy group Invisible Children went viral. That video has since been viewed by more than 100 million people.
