Jack White plays at Radio City Music Hall, insults fans and storms off stage after 45 minutes

A Jack White concert at New York's Radio City Music Hall has left fans enraged, The New York Observer reported. During the sold-out Saturday night show, with ticket prices costing a minimum of $40, White insulted the crowd and then abruptly left.

"Jesus Christ, is this an NPR convention?" White said at one point during the concert, despite the fact that fans were loudly cheering, RollingStone reported. After about 45 minutes, White abruptly stormed off the stage and never returned.

The crowd seemed to think that this was just the standard "tease before an encore" formula that happens at most concerts, the Observer said. But after 20 minutes, White never came back and ushers told everyone that the show was over. Enraged fans began chanting "f*** you Jack!," according to a concert attendee. Outside of the venue, a crowd of about 100 people gathered demanding to know why the concert was so short. They received no clear answers. “He wasn’t happy with the sound,” a member of the security team told the Observer. “I don’t know why he pulled that.”
