It’s a weird, wide world, but someone’s gotta explore it

Mariya Karimjee has tweeted her journeys through Pakistan for @AFridayIn before. But her feed this Friday could have happened any day, really, as she piqued our curiosity with the mundane.

For example: "I'm still confused and fascinated by" burning trash piles, an entire family riding on one motorbike, or the open carrying of rifles, Karimjee said.

Want to know what else is hard for her to get used to in Karachi? Find out in her tweets below and on GlobalPost's Instagram page.

GlobalPost's @AFridayIn Twitter feed showcases the voices and personal experiences of our correspondents based around the world each week. A different correspondent takes over the @AFridayIn account each Friday and tweets about his or her travels and daily activities.
