Italy votes in general election

Opinion polls, according to Reuters, show the center-left leader Pier Luigi Bersani with a narrow lead over conservative Silvio Berlusconi. However, due an imposed blackout, no opinion polls have been published since Feb. 8. 

The election, which began Sunday, will conclude Monday afternoon, and an official result is expected later that night, or possibly early Tuesday.
