Israel kills 3 in Gaza after rocket attack

Israel's Air Force struck northern Gaza on Wednesday and killed three people. Israel was responding to rockets and mortar fired from Gaza that hit southern Israel.
Three Thai workers in Israel were wounded, according to CNN, while in Gaza, Hamas claimed the three killed men as members, adding that another three were injured in the air strike.
Israel's military said 60 rockets and mortars had been fired across its border by early morning, according to the Associated Press.
No crossings between Israel and Gaza were allowed after the fighting began, the Telegraph reported.
On Tuesday, an Israeli soldier was injured by a bomb, and on Monday, one Hamas militant and a Popular Resistance Committees member were killed by an Israeli air strike, according to the BBC.
On Tuesday the emir of Qatar became the first head of state to visit Gaza since the Islamist militant group Hamas took control of the strip in 2007. Sheik Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani said $400 million would be spent on construction in Gaza.
