CNN and Fox News are reporting that today's "mystery guest" at the GOP convention is Clint Eastwood.

The longtime Republican and Hollywood legend is expected to walk through the convention floor for a rundown of tonight's events, CNN reported.

Eastwood endorsed Mitt Romney for president earlier this month during a fundraiser in Sun Valley, Idaho.

In February, Eastwood had told Fox News that he wasn't supporting any politicians, although some people saw his "Halftime in America" Super Bowl ad for Chrysler as a nod toward President Barack Obama.

Rumors of a GOP convention mystery guest have been swirling for days, with talk of quarterback Tim Tebow or even a hologram of the late Ronald Reagan a la Tupac Shakur at Coachella earlier this year.

Romney is expected to accept the Republican Party nomination for president Thursday night.
