Exorcism hotline set up in Milan

An exorcism hotline is coming to Milan due to popular demand, The Belfast Telegraph reported. Monsignor Angelo Mascheroni, the diocese’s chief exorcist since 1995, said that more and more people are requesting exorcism help from priests.

An official from the diocese told BBC News that about four telephone calls requesting an exorcist are coming in each day. "Often, parents call me saying that their son or daughter doesn't go to school, that they are taking drugs or rebelling," the official told the BBC, though he added that there was no demon involved. In fact, most cases are false alarms. "Really diabolical phenomena are, at least in my experience, very rare."
