End of the world update: Australia and New Zealand have made it through the apocalypse, it seems. 

The two countries, whose time zones are the furthest ahead on the planet, are proudly touting their survival, broadcasting photos of their clocks and bragging about having made it through the worst of it.

However, it bears noting that the Mayans didn't specify a time zone. (Reality check: Here's what the ancient Mayans really had to say about Dec. 21.)
