Dog shoots owner in Florida

A dog has shot his owner. Well, that's one way of putting it. The alternate way to tell this story is that a human man carelessly left a loaded gun on the ground next to his dog.

Gregory Dale Lanier, a Florida resident, reported to police that he was traveling in his truck when his dog kicked a gun on the truck's floor, Highlands Today reported. Why was a loaded gun on the floor? No idea! Lanier totally thought the gun was unloaded and was "surprised" that it wasn't, according to Highlands Today.

Police have ruled the shooting accidental. Lanier was shot in the leg but is expected to recover,  WPBF reported

Remarkably, this is the second time that a Florida man has been shot by a dog. In December 2011, Billy E. Brown was shot by his bulldog on a deer hunting trip.
