Former NBA star Dennis Rodman, along with three members of the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team, are headed to North Korea with a crew from VICE television, the Associated Press reported.
The trip comes at a time of heightened tensions between Washington and Pyongyang, following North Korea's recent underground nuclear tests.

The AP reported the group were due to arrive on Tuesday and that VICE hoped they would "engage in a little 'basketball diplomacy' with North Koreans."
The trip comes a day after rival South Korea's new president Park Geun-hye urged the North to give up its nuclear ambitions, the New York Times reported.
