Condoleezza Rice makes modeling debut

Forget being a potential vice presidential candidate. Condoleezza Rice has bigger things on her plate, including modeling for the NFL's new "It's My Team" campaign.

The National Football League just revealed its revamped women’s apparel line with advertisements featuring Melania Trump, Olympic women’s tennis champion Serena Williams, and the former Secretary of State.

NBC noted that although women account for 45 percent of the NFL's fan base, this is its first ad campaign to target women.

DJ Kiss, who was also featured in the ad campaign, told The New York Times, "It’s smart that the NFL is starting to cater to the many women out there who want to show their team spirit. My girlfriends are bigger football fans than most guys I know.”

The campaign, and the line, are certainly decidedly female. According to ABC, "The NFL’s women’s apparel line includes clothing ranging from typical game-day t-shirts to more fashion-forward and even business casual items, such as team-spirited blazers."

“We do have something for everyone, and this campaign aims to communicate that if you are living and wearing football, you can do it every day, year-round," Tracey Bleczinski, vice president of NFL consumer products, told ABC.

The line will officially launch at New York Fashion Week in September. No word if Rice will also take to the catwalk.
