Chuck Klosterman is the New York Times Magazine’s new advice columnist
Chuck Klosterman tweeted from his new account as “The Ethicist,” the New York Times Magazine’s advice column.
Chuck Klosterman is the New York Times Magazine's new advice columnist, taking over "The Ethicist" column from Ariel Kaminer, the Atlantic Wire reported.
"This is a job I've wanted for 10 years," Klosterman, who is best known for his book 'Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs,' told the Atlantic. "I don't claim to be more ethical than anyone else, or even more ethical than the average person. But I love thinking about these types of problems, and I'll try to be interesting. We'll see what happens."

The news first broke on Twitter, when the Times Magazine's editor Hugo Lindgren tweeted:
"As for his ethical qualifications, anyone who has read Chuck’s work knows him as a writer who likes to confront, with great humor and wisdom, all manner of thorny questions and complicated characters — and who isn’t afraid of expressing his opinions about how things are and How They Should Be," Lindgren wrote in a blog post introducing the new columnist.
"Chuck wrote an exceptional series of tryout columns and expressed his desire for the job with a singular intensity. We expect his columns to be thoughtful, engaging, witty and, yes, helpful," Lindgren added.
The author confirmed the news from his new twitter account Thursday, tweeting:
The "Ethicist" is the Magazine's advice column, and Klosterman has already tackled subjects including estranged siblings and cat-napping in his first column.
Before landing the New York Times gig, Klosterman wrote a column for Esquire Magazine called "Chuck Klosterman's America."
