Chris Brown denies new neck tattoo is of Rihanna’s beaten face (VIDEO)

Chris Brown has denied that a new tattoo on his neck depicts the battered face of Rihanna, his pop star ex-girlfriend whom he assaulted in 2009.

The tattoo, which appears to be of a woman's face with strange marks on it, has appeared on several websites, including Australia's Herald Sun.

On some sites, it is juxtaposed with a photo Rihanna's face after she was beaten by Brown.

However, the singer's reps said the design was actually a Dia de los Muertos skull.

"His tattoo is a sugar skull [associated with the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead] and a MAC cosmetics design he saw," the rep told TMZ.

"It is not Rihanna or an abused woman as erroneously reported."
