More bad news for the cruise ship industry.
Just two weeks after the Carnival Triumph cruise finally made it to port after five days adrift at sea, actress Carrie Fisher now reports her own problems aboard a separate cruise in the Caribbean.
According to TMZ, Fisher's publicist said the Hollywood star, best known for her role as Princess Leia in "Star Wars," was recently hospitalized after a bipolar episode during a performance on the Holland American Eurodam ship.
USA Today said the actress, who recently lost 50 pounds and is a recovering drug addict was "described as 'slurring' a couple of songs and forgetting [her] words."
"There was a medical incident related to Carrie Fisher’s bipolar disorder," said the actress' publicist. "She went to the hospital briefly to adjust her medication and is feeling much better now."
