Brad Pitt to China: I’m coming

Even though Brad Pitt has been supposedly banned from entering China, his first post to Weibo, the Twitter-like microblogging platform popular in the People's Republic, suggests otherwise.

"It's the truth. Yup, I'm coming," said the actor on his verified account. By Monday morning the message had been forwarded more than 31,000 times and garnered over 14,000 comments, mostly by users expressing their surprise at the apparent announcement of a visit to the country, the Associated Press reported.

If he is planning a visit, it'll be interesting to see how Pitt pulls off the move. According to IMDB, the actor was banned from entering China because of his role in the 1997 "Seven Years in Tibet," which took a negative view of the Chinese government's rule in Tibet.

However, Pitt's other movies, especially "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," have been popular in China, Sky News reported.
