BRISBANE, Australia — Accompanied by a picture of her drinking champagne at a Sydney hotel, Australian media reported that Mel Greig, a DJ involved in the Royal hoax and subsequent suicide of a UK nurse, is to return to work.
Greig was one half of a radio duo from the station 2DayFM who made a prank call made to the King Edward VII's Hospital, which was treating Kate Middleton for acute morning sickness in December.
The nurse who answered the call from Greig and co-host with co-host Michael Christian, Jacintha Saldanha, committed suicide — mainly from shame, her family said.
Christian, was along with Greig was suspended from 2DayFM after the incident, returned to work last month at a sister station — Southern Cross Austereo's FoxFM — while Greig remained off-air.

This weekend, the Murdoch press spotted Greig — who has been keeping a low profile — as she sipped champagne with a girlfriend over the weekend.
According to The Australian, Greig "appeared in good spirits, dressed in a yellow jacket as she caught up with a friend at Three Weeds pub in Rozelle."
Fairfax quoted her as saying:
"Someone from the station will be in contact with News Limited when I return. "I'm not supposed to say anything. I'm so sorry."
