Ashley Madison ad touts French presidents’ affairs

GlobalPost

Ashley Madison, an extramarital dating service from Canada, launched its French website with an ad implying France's current and former presidents could have kept their extra-marital relationships secret had they used the site.

Agence France Presse reported that French authorities blocked the adultery website from posting the ads, as well as, two billboards in Paris which were labeled " "too political."

According to the Huffington Post, the ad features former French presidents François Mitterand, Jacques Chirac, Nicolas Sarkozy and current President François Hollande covered in lipstick kisses, with the headline “What do all these men have in common? They should have thought of AshleyMadison.com."

"France is the home of infidelity in the eyes of the world," Noel Biderman, founder of the site told AFP.

Mitterrand and Chirac are known to have had affairs, according to AFP, while Sarkozy and Hollande have repeatedly dogged rumors of infidelity over the years.
