Alec Baldwin’s former ’30 Rock’ costar says actor should apologize for any racist remarks

NEW YORK – Alec Baldwin's former "30 Rock" costar Tracey Morgan has said actor should apologize if he used racial slurs to insult an African-American photographer. 

Baldwin allegedly called New York Post photographer — and retired NYPD detective — G.N. Miller, a "crackhead," "a coon" and "a drug dealer" during a confrontation outside the star's home.

Miller, has filed a harassment complaint with police, claiming the incident happened as he took photos of the star outside his East Village home on Sunday, Fox News reported.

Baldwin has denied the allegations and tweeted that he has made "a formal complaint against the photographer who assaulted me". 

Miller told the Post the slurs were heard by passersby, the Hollywood Reporter said.

"He said some choice words about my mother, and he was telling people in the street that I’m a drug dealer. … He could have said a lot of other stuff. But he used all of the stereotypes associated with black people."

A reporter who was also there alleges Baldwin told her: "I hope you choke to death".

New York Post reported Tuesday that the NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the alleged racist tirade.

Palmeri and a reporter were there to interview Baldwin about reports that his wife, Hilaria Thomas, is being sued.

Morgan, meantime, reportedly said during an interview with a local Charlotte, N.C., radio station, that:

"I'm just saying man … if he called somebody a c–n, he should apologize."

According to the New York Post, he said that while had not encountered any issues of racism while working with the 54-year-old Baldwin:

"If anyone calls anybody a derogatory statement like coon, in 2013… first of all 'c–n' is played out. There's no excuse for that in your 50s."
