The 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards honored country music's stars on Sunday night, including granting multiple wins to artists Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson, CBS News reported.

The biggest win of the evening went to Taylor Swift, who took home the award for Entertainer of the Year for the second consecutive year, according to the Associated Press. She beat out four male nominees, including four-time winner Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, and Jason Aldean.

“She deserved it,” fellow nominee and show co-host Blake Shelton told the AP. “When those announcements came out [about] who was nominated, I remember saying right then — I don’t think I said 'I hope Taylor wins' because I hoped I would win — but Taylor deserves it."

Though Swift, who lost in the female vocalist and video categories, did not perform, she did get attention from ACM co-hosts Shelton and Reba McEntire, who poked fun at her rumored date with New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow, according to the AP.

The win came just a day after Swift was applauded by First Lady Michelle Obama for her charity work on The Kids' Choice Awards, the New York Daily News reported

Swift said hello to Kevin McGuire, a high school football player and Swift fan who has cancer, while accepting her award, the Daily News reported. McGuire was supposed to be Swift's date to the awards, but he was hospitalized and couldn't make it.

"He's not here but I promised him I would give him a shoutout," Swift said.

Other big winners of the evening included Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, and Kelly Clarkson, who were each awarded two trophies early on in the show, according to the AP.

Lambert grabbed her third consecutive female vocalist award, as well as won album of the year for a third time for “Four the Record.” Her husband Blake Shelton ended Brad Paisley’s five-year run in the male vocalist category.

"I own every record in this category and I've been listening and listening, thinking I'm not going to get it," said Lambert in her acceptance speech, the Daily News reported. "Every record is amazing, and I'm so thrilled. I will never take this trophy for granted. My albums are my babies. It's what makes me wake up in the mornings."

Aldean and Clarkson both won single record and vocal event of the year for their duet “Don’t You Wanna Stay,” according to the AP.

The night was full of other buzzworthy award-show moments, including the wedding of Christina Davidson and Frank Tucci, who were married on stage as Martina McBride and Train's Pat Monahan sang "Marry Me," US Weekly reported

Actor Ashton Kutcher, who donned a cowboy hat as he presented the Female Vocalist of the Year award, attempted to sing a version of George Strait's "I Cross My Heart," which he dedicated to the losing ladies in the category, according to US Weekly.

LL Cool J, Marc Anthony, KISS, and Lionel Ritchie were also present at the awards. See here for a full list of the winners.
