Accused Alec Baldwin stalker jailed for court violation

An aspiring actress accused of stalking Alec Baldwin for months was arrested as she faced a New York court today.

The New York Post reported  the judge ordered the arrest of Genevieve Sabourin for violating an order of protection barring her from contacting the "30 Rock" actor and his yoga instructor wife.

"Why am I being arrested!" the French Canadian blonde cried.

Sabourin is facing more than two dozen harassment charges following her alleged harrassment of the actor via email, Twitter, text messages and in person.

The newspaper said Sabourin was first arrested in April after a series of emails in which she told the married star she loved him, wanted to have his baby, and needed cash.

The court was told in one email, Sabourin threatens to launch "a massive destructive war" to win back Baldwin's affections.

Baldwin admitted he met Sabourin and took her to dinner as a favor for a friend but her court papers allege he also took her to a show and back to her hotel.

The New York Daily News said Sabourin told the court her life had been destroyed by the charges that she turned up at Baldwin's homes in the Hamptons and the West Village earlier this year.

Also yesterday her lawyer fired her for failing to pay her bills.
