Watch the cast of Lion King Australia perform “Circle of Life” for fellow airplane passengers

You'll remember "The Lion King" as the heartbreaking and heartwarming tale of young Simba, a lion destined to become King of the Pridelands.

Featuring music by Elton John and lyrics by Tim Rice, the story, too, was destined to become the King of Broadway. The musical premiered in New York in 1997 and has since become the highest-grossing Broadway show of all time, grossing more than $1 billion.

On Dec. 12, 2013, "The Lion King" opened at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney, Australia.

Based on this video, the cast seems pretty cool. On a Virgin Airlines flight from Brisbane back to Sydney, they broke into a spontaneous rendition of "Circle of Life." It will make you as warm and happy as a lion cub being held in the air by a mandrill.

It's a pretty good rendition. Solid acoustics. Staging needs work.

Looks better at the theatre of course.

You'll notice that not everyone on the plane seemed appreciative of the performance.

Reports later confirmed that those people have no souls.
