Spain: Bon Jovi waives ticket price due to financial crisis
Rocker Jon Bon Jovi’s daughter, Stephanie Bongiovi, will not face criminal charges after suffering a heroin overdose at her dorm room at Hamilton College.
Rocker Jon Bon Jovi said he has decided to give a free concert in Madrid next month because he is afraid fans couldn't afford the full price of a ticket.
The tickets were originally for sale between 18 and 39 euros or $23-$50.
That's a far cry from the average ticket price for next week's UK concert in Manchester that prices at about 76 euros, or $98, which is closer to US ticket prices in major American cities.
Bon Jovi told Spain's El Mundo newspaper when he was planning this summer's European leg of his "Because We Can-The Tour," he initially left Madrid off the schedule, fearing the show would not sell out due to Spain's hard-hit economy.
He later changed his mind and decided instead to perform in Madrid on June 27 for free.

Fans in Mexico can also rejoice. This week, the band announced it will play Mexico City's massive Foro Sol venue which holds a staggering 60,000 people.
Tickets for that September show go on sale June 3.
