Pyramid photos by Russian tourists spark wonder

Photos of the Pyramids of Giza by a group of three Russian tourists have gone viral.

Apparently the group waited until visiting hours were over to climb the nearly 500 foot structures – an illegal act that could have landed them in prison.

Somehow they were able to slip past security guards and set up their tripods high above the ancient desert grounds overlooking Cairo.

They even managed a few shots of the Sphinx.

Anyone who has ever visited the Pyramids knows, however, that guides will let you climb them for a small bribe.

The Daily Mail has some of the amazing photos here.
