A high school in Cincinnati, Ohio was put on lockdown Monday after a student shot himself in a classroom.
The shooting occurred around 9 a.m. this morning at La Salle High School, a private all-boys high school associated with the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
The boy, whose name and condition have not yet been released, was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
There were other students in the classroom at the time of the shooting, but none of them were injured.
The school is no longer an active crime scene, and parents were being allowed into the school to pick up their children.
"The threat is over," Hamilton County Sheriff's spokesman Jim Knapp said, but would not discuss the victim/shooter.
