Obama’s Final Four bracket weighted with swing states (VIDEO)

Heading into his second term, President Obama has promised greater attention to detail and hard looks at the numbers in his relentless pursuit of a winner.

That’s why he has Indiana winning it all this March Madness.

POTUS kept up with a cherished springtime tradition today, telling ESPN his Final Four predictions ahead of this week’s NCAA college basketball championships.

“I’m going with Louisville. I know it’s not a surprise pick,” he said during a pre-recorded segment for SportsCenter. “And I’m going with Indiana. These are the two best teams right now, and for the championship I’m going back to the Big Ten. I think this is Indiana’s year.”

Ohio State and Florida round out Obama’s bracket winners, The Associated Press said.

Getting the presidential seal of approval might not work for Indiana, however. Since he started publicizing his picks, Obama has only once predicted the winner – North Carolina in 2009.

Obama is traveling to Israel this week.

This is the third straight year Obama has put Ohio State in the Final Four, NOLA.com reported.

In fact, his bracket is heavily weighted toward the Big 10 Conference with Michigan and Michigan State going deep into Obama’s tournament.

Yet, perhaps mindful of Florida’s importance in his run to the White House, Obama had the Gators defeating Michigan.

“I’m going with Florida,” Obama said, NOLA reported. “I don’t want people thinking that I’m only Big Ten all the time.”

As for the women’s tournament, the president selected Baylor, California, Connecticut and Notre Dame.
