NTSB intern let go over fake Asiana pilot names (VIDEO)
The National Transportation Safety Board intern who erroneously confirmed racist prank names for the pilots of Asiana Flight 214 is no longer with the agency, CNN and NBC News reported Monday.
According to NBC, the government agency has "let go" of the intern following the scandal.

San Francisco TV station KTVU read the “confirmed” pilot names on air as Captain Sum Ting Wong, Wi Tu Low, Ho Lee Fuk, Band Ding Ow in a broadcast last Friday that sparked outrage worldwide.
The NTSB and the TV station have since both apologized publicly.
Over the weekend, Asiana Airlines had said it may sue both entities, but appeared to have a change of heart Monday — at least toward the NTSB.

The airline told CNN it's still planning a lawsuit against KTVU over its "demeaning report."
The intern was a student volunteer who fielded phone calls at the agency, but had been instructed to transfer questions to official media representatives, NTSB spokeswoman Kelly Nantel told Reuters.
The correct names of the Asiana pilots are Lee Gang-guk and Lee Jeong-mi.
