Mubarak retrial over protester deaths set for May 11

Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will return to court May 11 for the resumption of his retrial.
Mubarak is charged along with seven security officials with the death of nearly 900 protestors during the uprisings in 2011.
His retrial was supposed to begin April 13 but the lead judge, Judge Mustafa Hassan Abdullah, abruptly withdrew from the case.
Abdullah worried that he'd be seen as biased after acquitting a number of other accused during the infamous "Battle of the Camels."
Mubarak was sentenced to life in prison last June along with his Interior Minister Habib al-Adly but the verdict was overturned on appeal.
He is also facing corruption charges along with his sons Alaa and Gamal.
The new judge will be Mahmoud Kamel El-Rashidi, who Reuters says is a low-profile jurist
