After a bad year that included overflowing toilets, fire and death, Carnival Cruise Lines has canceled twelve trips. Yeah, that's probably a good idea.
The cruise line said in a statement that the cancelation of the cruises is the "first implementation phase of its fleetwide comprehensive operational review," ABC reported. The canceled cruises affect itineraries through May. Guests on the canceled voyages will get a refund.

Carnival is also promising to make some changes with its ships. "The cruise line is making significant investments to enhance the level of operating redundancies and the scope of hotel services that can run on emergency power, and further improve each ship’s fire prevention, detection and suppression systems,” Carnival said in a statement today, CBS reported.
Last year, 32 people were killed on the Costa Concordia, a Carnival ship, after captain Francesco Schettino caused a wreck and ten abandoned the ship as it sunk.
And last month, the cruise ship Carnival Triumph lost propulsion power after a fire broke out in the engine room, forcing the thousands of passengers to be trapped at sea in squalid conditions with no working toilets.
And just last week, Carnival's Dream line suffered a failed generator, causing power outages and more overflowing toilets.
