Car bomb found near Musharraf’s Pakistan home

A car bomb was found near the Islamabad home of former Pakistani military leader Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday, who is currently being held in home detention over his purported illegal detention of judges.
Forty kilograms of explosives were found in the white vehicle parked near the gate of Musharraf's home on the outskirts of Islamabad, reported DAWN.com, as well as two detonators and hand grenades.

Police defused the explosives and are now attempting to figure out how the vehicle managed to come within 500 feet of the home, reports the Associated Press, as Musharraf — recently returned to Pakistan in an effort to win back political power —has been targeted for death by the Taliban and other militant groups.
Reuters notes that a bomb disposal squad was witnessed at the scene Tuesday.
A court in Rawalpindi has ordered that Musharraf be made part of the investigation in the murder case of Benazir Bhutto, reported DAWN, adding that he was driven to appear before the anti-terrorism court from his home Tuesday with considerable security accompaniment.
