Angelina Jolie wins ‘Blood and Honey’ copyright lawsuit
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt visit refugees in the village of Medjedja, near the eastern Bosnian town of Visegrad, 70 kilometers (43 miles) east of Sarajevo on April 5, 2010 on a surprise visit to meet refugees still suffering from the brutal 1992-1995 civil war.
Angelina Jolie has won a copyright lawsuit that claimed the actress stole work by Croatian journalist James Braddock for her film "In the Land of Blood and Honey."
Braddock said the movie, which Jolie directed, produced and wrote, violates the copyright on his book, "The Soul Shattering."
The actress was sued a few weeks before her film about a love story set during the Bosnian civil war debuted in 2011.

Braddock's book, published in 2007, and later in an abridged form, is a love story about a Croat and Muslim couple set in Bosnia during the war.
The Associated Press reported a US district judge ruled Friday that while both the book and movie are about war romances, the two are not "substantially" similar.
