Andrew Cuomo may still run against Hillary Clinton in 2016
Gov. Cuomo has asked for $30 billion in federal aid to help rebuild the state post-Sandy.
NEW YORK — New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo shot down Monday's New York Post report that said he will not seek the Democratic nomination if former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton runs for the president in 2016.
The Post wrote that Cuomo quietly told associates he is “resigned” to the fact he can not run if Clinton enters the race, but the governor is now saying that is just a rumor.

“As you know, I go to great length not to engage in politics writ large and but especially not presidential politics,” Cuomo told local radio show WCNY’s The Capitol Pressroom. “Hillary Clinton is going to do whatever Hillary Clinton is going to do and I’m doing what I’m doing and I’m focusing on running the state and doing the best I can.”
Clinton, who has not yet said whether she will run, has been urged to by a group of Democrats who started the "Ready for Hillary" PAC.
A recent WMUR Granite State poll showed voters would choose Clinton in the all important New Hampshire Democratic primary, if it were held today.
61 percent of polled voters said they would choose Clinton. Vice President Biden came in second with a mere seven percent of the vote, followed by Cuomo with just three percent.
