83-year-old billionaire George Soros marries for third time

NEW YORK — 83-year-old billionaire and philanthropist George Soros married education consultant Tamiko Bolton over the weekend in Westchester, New York.

Soros and Bolton, who is 42, exchanged vows in a small ceremony at his Bedford estate. Soros bought the home from "Jurassic Park" author Michael Crichton in 2003.

The couple's families, including the groom's five children attended the intimate ceremony, sources told Reuters.

Afterward, some 500 guests attended a wedding reception for the couple at Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, an estate in nearby Katonah.

Soros is one of the richest men in the world. His net worth is estimated at $20 billion, according to Forbes.

CNN Money reported the billionaire will leave the bulk of his fortune to charity, but that Bolton will be well taken care of.

Wedding guests included Bono from the rock band U2, IMF chief Christine Lagarde, former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

Also in attendance were a number of world leaders including Estonian president Hendrik Toomas Ilves, Liberian president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and Albanian prime minister Edi Rama.
