2014 World Cup tickets on sale, says FIFA

The first batch of tickets for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil went on sale Tuesday.

Though qualifying matches are far from over, football fanatics are forming virtual queues to get their hands on passes.

Prices range $90 for first-round matches to $990 for the final at Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.

About 3.3 million tickets will be available for the 64-match tournament.

At least 300,000 tickets that went on sale were priced between $15 and $82.50, and have been set aside for Brazilians aged over 60, local students and members of some social programs.

According to Euronews, ticket sales have been broken down into a "three-stage program" with lottery and first-come first-served stages. Click on this link for more details or go to the FIFA website.
