100-car pile-up in southeast England, nearly 70 injured (VIDEO)

The crash occurred around 7:15 am with at least 8 people suffering serious injuries, and approximately 60 people treated for minor injuries.
More than 100 vehicles were involved in a highway pile-up on a bridge in Kent, in southeast England on Thursday.
Sixty people were reportedly injured, while eight others suffered serious injuries, according to police. South East Coast Ambulance Service reported that it had transported 35 patients to six hospitals.
Earlier reports claimed that 200 people had been injured.
"There are no fatalities but ambulance crews are dealing with a large number of walking wounded casualties. Firefighters have used hydraulic cutting equipment to release five people from their vehicles," said Kent Fire and Rescue.
The crash occurred at around 7:15 a.m. on a London-bound highway during morning rush hour.
Fog was blamed for the crash and visibility was reportedly extremely poor during the incident.
"It's horrific. I've never seen anything like it in my life," witness Martin Stammers told Kent Online.
"All you could hear was cars crashing."
By midday, clean-up crews were lifting destroyed cars, trucks and lorries off the highway.
