South African DJ/producer Sibot got his start back in ’98 with hip-hop group Max Normal (brainchild of Waddy Jones, currently known as Ninja in Die Antwoord). Since then, he has become locally and internationally known for his thrilling live sets, won the South African DJ Battle Champion in 2002, and collaborated with countless artists. His latest single, “Nice Shandee’s,” from his Red Bull Studios exclusive EP Arc Eyes, features one of our favorite South African rappers, Okmalumkoolkat. He is also one of the weirdest rappers in SA, if not the world, and his quirky flow works wonders with the spaces in Sibot’s synth-heavy beat. “Where he from? He from the sky!”
