As Senate races tighten around the country, we’re back on their trail today to take a look at the fight for seats in two key states: Connecticut and Missouri.
In Connecticut, Republican Linda McMahon has spent millions and produced strong TV ads in her second consecutive Senate election, this time against Democratic Representative Chris Murphy.
Missouri has become one of the most closely watched Senate races due largely to Republican Representative Todd Akin’s infamous claims in August that women rarely become pregnant from “legitimate rape.” He is looking to unseat Missouri’s Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill. Despite early setbacks from his remarks, the race has once again grown close in an increasingly conservative state.
