With over 3,000 miles of shoreline, the state’s lakes and beaches attract millions in tourism. But more recently, with local businesses and universities investing more in new methods of everything from water filtration systems to ecosystem management, water is fast becoming the focus of much of Michigan’s most innovative economic projects.
