The shock of waking up without a limb or limbs– just hours after watching marathoners cross the finish line on theirs– is hard to imagine. But while losing a limb is certainly devastating, it’s not the end– and the more than 35 amputees who ran the Boston Marathon this last Monday are proof of that. Dick Traum lost a leg in an automobile accident nearly fifty years ago. He finished the Boston Marathon Monday.
