U.S. Indian Tribes Challenge Canadian Company’s Legacy of Waste

Observers say an environmental border dispute 20 years in the making is likely to set precedent. A Canadian metal smelter dumped 15 million tons of waste into the Columbia River, which many suspect to be poisonous to fish and wildlife.
