The Supreme Court made two rulings yesterday in the landmark gender discrimination lawsuit brought to court by a million and a half women against Wal-Mart. All nine justices agreed that the case could not proceed as a class action suit, reversing a decision by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco.  They also made a 5-4 decision along ideological lines.
