He began his career working for Bill James, the father of Sabermetrics, the movement toward objective statistical analysis of baseball, and has gone on to become a Johnny Appleseed of the stats movement. He’s also the author of many books, including the newly released Rob Neyer’s Big Book of Baseball Legends.
