Proposed Law in Mexico Puts Marriage up for Review

The divorce rate is steadily going up in Mexico, particularly Mexico City where the rate is about 50 percent.

In an attempt to remedy the situation, lawmakers are proposing a new marriage law that would allow couples to review their marriage contract every two years.

They could renew it, or let it expire.
