San Diego, California is home to one of the largest Iraqi populations in the country, but many of them are facing hardships to create a happy home for themselves and their families. Jill Replogle, is a reporter for the Fronteras Desk, a multimedia collaboration among seven public radio stations and she has been covering the lives of many of these Iraqi refugees, including professionals trying to find a job and families waiting for kin to arrive from Syria.
