Getting Parents Back in Schools

The World

It’s August; if you have children that means that back-to-school activities are in full swing. Parents are preparing to send kids back with bigger class sizes and fewer teachers as school systems are forced to tighten their budgets.
Joining The Takeaway is Valerie Purdie-Vaughns, an assistant psychology professor at Columbia University, along with Lindsay Krey, school principal at Holabird Academy, a public elementary school in Baltimore, Maryland.
