One question about Serbia’s relationship with the EU is whether Serbia’s entrance to the EU depends on Kosovo. This EU official says there’s no connection. Yet in light of yesterday’s violence in Belgrade, another EU official suggested otherwise. Serbian leaders today pledged to protect foreign embassies and arrest yesterday’s attackers, but this Serbia official made it clear that the stand off with the EU will go on and that Serbia will never recognize Kosovo.
