The Takeaway

Following the announcement of that Osama bin Laden was killed, the immediate reaction across the country was one of jubilation as Americans took to the streets cheering and chanting. But Das Racist saw a different pattern emerging in the undercurrent of all that   revelry.  Himanshu K. Suri  and Ashok Kondabolu are better known as members of the Brooklyn, NY based hip hop group Das Racist, where they go by the names  Heems and  Daps, respectively.  Soon after the news broke that bin Laden was killed, Heems began using his twitter feed to make a collage. He re-tweeted every time he saw somebody say a racist or anti-muslim statement in connection to bin Laden’s death They join us to explain their disturbing findings.
