Americans in Argentina watch campaign results

This is a trendy bar tonight filled with Americans, over 100 of them who showed up. In the corner is a table for Democrats Abroad, with internet applications. This man has been in Argentina for four months. He seems politically engaged and he says voting online may seem simple but is a bit more difficult. This American is also trying to vote and seems equally committed. Not surprisingly this crowd, almost exclusively Democrats, doesn’t like George Bush much. In particular, many of these ex-pats blame the president for damaging the US’s image abroad, especially in South America. Besides Bush with few exceptions, they don’t even like Hillary Clinton much, this is an Obama crowd. They believe Obama is more about change.
