Donovan Webster is a former senior editor for Outside magazine. His reporting has appeared in The New Yorker, National Geographic, Vanity Fair, Garden & Gun, and The New York Times Magazine, among other publications. He is also the author of five books of non-fiction, and teaches in the Department of Media Studies at the University of Virginia. He lives with his wife and children near Charlottesville, VA.
