Ryan Libre

Ryan Libre has been based in Asia for eight years. He has taken photos for 11 books and started the NGO, Documentary Arts Asia.

Most recently, Ryan has spent three months with the Kachin and The Kachin Independence Organization, partly financed by a grant from the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting. Photos from Kachin will be in a solo exhibit titled, " Portraits of Independence" at the Nikon Salons in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan, and the Foreign Correspondents' Club Thailand.

When not working on projects or teaching photography workshops Ryan works on his adobe house in northern Thailand and brews ginger wine.
